Vashara Chamal, a grandson of both Kaisoon and Mahomed, was the first straight Egyptian stallion that we acquired. Chamal stood 1m62 (over 16 hands) tall and was a huge, powerful stallion and although like his grandfather Mahomed with many faults, he boasted incredible type and presence. He raced at the track as a 4-5 year old and was a great mount. He produced two offspring out of Salome XI (by Madkour I), the full-brothers Kadir and Zahir. Zahir became an excellent endurance horse. He was later exported to Germany and passed away in 2014 after foundering severely.
